Description
This piece was created using torn, hand-painted papers, acrylic paint, and gold leaf. I use different papers in each piece. If you look closely you may notice music notations or print from an old thesaurus. Each of the papers are layered in various shades, giving the final piece a lot of depth and an organic feel. You can see the detail in the papers by rolling your cursor over the images above.
The collage is created on cradled wood and can be hung immediately (it comes with a hanging wire) or can be framed if you wish. I recommend the floating wooden frames from Dick Blick. For this particular piece, choose an 8×8 inch frame with a depth of 7/8 inch.
