She had managed a weekend alone. Finally. Away from crazy, 16-hour day schedules in a city where everyone knew her. Or thought they did. They knew her face at least (it was plastered on every double-decker) and for them - that was enough.
So here she was at a sea-side café, wrapped in toast-colored cashmere, sipping hot cocoa. She didn't need the sunglasses, the sky being sodden with grey, but she wore them as per usual.
People passed without even looking. They had their own business to attend to here and she was not it.
