What You Can Expect
Transparency. Collaboration. Strategic and expert advice. No weird, alienating techie talk.
It doesn’t matter if we’re building you a semi-custom or fully custom website, here’s what you can always expect.
First, we’ll meet (most likely virtually) and go over how we’ll work together. We’ll cover things like:
- expectations – review the scope of our work together so that we have a shared understanding of the work to be done
- communication – best ways to contact each other during your project, how often and when I’ll provide status and so on
- documentation – where we’ll store project related documents, images, etc.
The specific steps are different based on what we’re creating together, but they’ll be listed in Asana (the tool I use for project management) and you’ll be able to see them and know exactly how your project is moving along.
These might be tasks like:
- build site map (list of pages on a website)
- create mood board for styling guidelines
- gather site content and add it to the site
I’ve mentioned communication a couple times already, but seriously – nothing can derail a project or relationship faster than poor communication. And it goes both ways. Trust me on this.
That means that we’ll have weekly meetings and regular, frequent touch-bases via email (or whatever we’ve decided during the project initiation).
I’m using the term very loosely here but basically, this is the part where whatever’s been built becomes live. It could be your new website or your custom digital strategy plan.
And then we celebrate! One thing I learned as a project manager, you can’t complete a project without a little celebrating!
